Mahalakshmi Temple Mumbai

I first time visited Mahalakshmi temple Mumbai today , 20 Oct 2015 on the occasion of Navratri festival. The temple is very nice. The beautiful view of Arabian Sea behind the temple is breath-taking. The temple is situated at a height of about 80 feet from Ground. There are three Devi Idols viz Mahakali, Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati in the Sanctum Sanctorum. There is  nice facility of keeping your footwear outside.

Behind the temple you need to descend around 50 steps or so to see the Sea near the temple. Just before the sea there are two temples  one Darya Maruti temples and other Darya Ganesh temple. The idols of Maruti and Ganehs in these temples  are very very beautiful.

How to reach Mahalakshmi temple. :

Nearest Western railway station - Mahalakshmi Best buses ply from here. You can check with people outside station for BEST routes.

Nearest Central railway station - Byculla. Best buses ply from here to Byculla. This will help you to connect to Thane Kalyan etc  The bus goes via Mumbai central station which will help you to connect to Borivali, Virar.
